At Fill Express, we want to train quality, competent divers and you will receive proper training at your own pace. Your training will be exceptionally comprehensive. We recommend backplate and wing style BCD's for student gear, with a strong emphasis on buoyancy control. When you graduate from a class with us, you will know you are a capable diver.

In addition, we charge one package price for our recreational sport diving training. There are no hidden fees and no required equipment purchases. Everything you need to get certified is included in your class price - equipment, books, boat and certification fees.

Your class fee includes:

  • All books required for the class
  • All class required dive fees
  • All tank rentals
  • All air/nitrox fills
  • Any rental gear you require
  • Certification fees, and C-cards
Nitrox certified divers may take any class using Nitrox at no additional charge.

Recreational Sport Diving Course Offerings

Open Water Diver

$400 per student - 2 student minimum

Pre-requisites: None

This is the start of your underwater adventure. This will certify you to dive with a buddy to depths of up to 60 feet. In this class, you will learn the basics of diving with home study, followed by 1-2 classroom sessions. Once this is complete, you will learn basic underwater skills in a pool, or other confined water environment. Once you successfully learn your confined water skills, you will demonstrate them in an open water environment. This class cost includes all gear, books, classroom, confined and open water fees, air fills, and boat fees. ALL equipment, including mask, fins and snorkel are loaned to the student at no cost for the duration of the class. However, a proper fit for mask and fins is important and we suggest students purchase their own mask and fins.

Classroom session, 5 confined water dives, 4 open water dives. Typically completed in 3-5 days.

Open Water Referral/Checkout Dives

$200 per student - 2 student minimum

Pre-requisites: Classroom and confined water dives

For people who have taken their classroom and confined water portions of dive instruction already, and now want to complete their open water checkout dives in warm, sunny Florida. This class includes all equipment you will need. If you do have your own gear, you should use it if possible.

Classroom review, 4 open water dives. Typically completed in 2 days.

Scuba review/Inactive Diver

$120 per student - 2 student minimum

Pre-requisites: Open Water Diver who has not been diving in over 1 year

For people who have already earned their open water certification, but who have not dove in over a year. This is a "refresher" course, and gets you ready to get back in the diving game. Includes any equipment you need, and air fills/tank rental.

Classroom review, 2 open water dives. Typically completed in 1 day.

Advanced Open Water Diver

$300 per student - 2 student minimum

Pre-requisites: Open Water Diver

The next step in your dive training is the Advanced Open Water class. With home study, classroom, and 5 training dives, this class trains and certifies you to dive deeper - down to 100 feet, and also builds up underwater skills to make you a better diver. Things like underwater navigation and buoyancy will be practiced along with proper weighting, streamlining gear, and greater buddy awareness. This class cost includes the fees and air for all training dives. You may combined the Advanced Open Water class with the Enriched Air class for an additional $50 per person.

Classroom, 5 open water dives. Typically completed in 2 days

Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver

$100 per student - 2 student minimum

Pre-requisites: Open Water Diver

A very popular class here in South Florida, due to it's widespread availability, cheap cost, and variety of dive sites. In this class, you will learn how to plan and conduct recreational sport dives with Enriched Air from 21% to 40% Oxygen. Enriched Air has less nitrogen, which allows you longer No Decompression Limits, which means more time underwater!

Classroom session. Typically takes 1 day.

Peak Performance Buoyancy

$160 per student - 2 student minimum

Pre-requisites: Open Water Diver

Buoyancy is one of the most important skills a diver can master, no matter what diving path you ultimately follow. Underwater photographers, reef, wreck cave and tech divers all need to have excellent buoyancy control. Here you will learn how to streamline your gear, use the proper amount of weight (most divers are overweighed), swim properly, and master the art of buoyancy underwater.

Classroom session, 2 open water dives. Typically completed in 1 day.

Deep Diver

$200 per student - 2 student minimum

Pre-requisites: Adventure Diver

For the diver looking to go deeper (100 to 130 fsw), this class will teach you how to plan and conduct dives up to 130 feet deep. This class discussed the logistics and hazards of deep diving. This class will consist of 4 deep dives over 2-4 days (depends on diver's schedule.)
