To use the Fill Express Wi-Fi Network in our store, you will need the following information:
  • Name (SSID): 9547860661
  • Authentication: WPA-PSK aka WPA-Personal
  • Data Encryption: TKIP
  • Key: [Please ask our staff]

The Fill Express Wi-Fi wireless network is configured as Closed which means your laptop will not automatically discover our Wi-Fi service. You must manually tell your laptop to look for our specific network name. This means a few extra steps are required to connect (see below) your wireless laptop.

Note our Wi-Fi service communicates with your laptop using WPA-PSK (Wi-Fi Protected Access with Pre-Shared Key) also known as WPA-Personal on some operating systems such as Windows Vista. This is a modern secure encryption protocol, and older versions of computer operating systems don't support WPA. Most notably for Microsoft Windows, it is only supported 'out-of-the-box' by XP with Service Pack 2 (SP2) or later and Vista, although patches are available from Microsoft to add support for earlier versions of XP and Windows 2000.

Although the Fill Express Wi-Fi network is an encrypted service, and our access point has it's own firewall, keep in mind you are still connecting to a public network. Please ensure you have a firewall program installed and running before using the Fill Express Wi-Fi network.

Instructions for configuring MS Windows XP (SP2)
to connect to the Fill Express Wi-Fi network.

  1. Start up your laptop and once booted, make sure your wireless receiver is turned on and then...

    • Click on the wireless network icon in the taskbar and you should see
the "Wireless Network Connection" window that indicates several available networks, none of which are ours.
    • Click on the "Change Advanced Settings" in the "Related Tasks" section.
The "Wireless Network Connections Properties" window should appear.
    • Click on the "Wireless Networks" tab.
    • Click the "Add" button under "Preferred Networks".

  2. Once the "Wireless Network Properties" window is open...

    • Enter our Network Name (SSID): 9547860661
    • Select Network Authentication: WPA-PSK
    • Select Data Encryption protocol: TKIP
    • Enter and confirm the Network Key: [Ask our Staff]
    • Click OK to apply settings.

Our network key is case-sensitive; capitals, lower-case, and numbers must all be entered exactly. Do NOT check the "This is a computer-to-computer (ad hoc) network" box.

  3. You should see our network SSID you just added in the "Preferred Networks" box of the Wireless Network Connection Properties. Click on OK and a few seconds later you should see a popup message indicating a connection has been established and then (it's not instant, be patient) a popup message saying an IP address was retrieved.

  4. You are now connected to the Internet through the Fill Express Wi-Fi Network Access Point. If the connection doesn't work, double check the SSID, Authentication, Encryption and Key information that you entered.
